FAQS

When should I book?

The best time to book your maternity session is as early as possible as I take limited bookings every week to allow for births that are unpredictable and the best time to capture your bump is between 28 and 34 weeks, this way your bump will be nice and round and you should still be able to move around freely.

If you are due soon give me a call or email info@tinaclearyphotography.co.uk as I have to juggle appointments and may have availability.

How should I prepare for the session

Choose one or two gorgeous dresses. Please feel free to have your partner or children included in your photography session too. If the shoot is on location, you're even welcome to bring pets along!

Some ideas to feel great for your Maternity session:

Get plenty of sleep the night before your shoot. Take time doing your make up and hair on the morning of your shoot. Remember your nails too as these will be shown lots in the shoot.

What clothes should I have ready/bring?

Here are some ideas:

Dress – A flowing one will look elegant or a tight one to show off your bump.

White always look great and avoid to many patterns or clothes that may be look dated in a few years time.

I recommend 28-34 weeks. This is the perfect time when you will feel most likely to want to show off your belly.

Where will my maternity shoot be held?

Imagine creating the photos you have always dreamed of, that you will truly cherish You decide the vibe - Mother Earth goddess on the beach or amongst trees & nature in the wide open countryside; or you may want a relaxed & comfortable cosy indoor setting.

I also have a home based studio in Purley on Thames.

I am a little nervous about having my bump photographed

Try to love your body and embrace this amazing moment and the beauty from within will show in your pictures.  Sometimes I will get you to look up or down at your bump use these moments to think about your plans for baby, how excited you are to meet your brand new baby.  That warm and glowing look will radiate in every image.  I felt really nervous at my bump shoot and even came out in a rash where I was very nervous so I will also make you feel completely relaxed, make you laugh and you will enjoy your session from start to finish.
